What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
Our music video was aimed at an audience aged 8-14 girls, however we think that we could appeal to boys of this age as well as our music is upbeat, energetic and fun which is associated with this age group. . We found that this was a typical age for the pop genre after doing research into similar bands and artists.
Below is a presentation showing examples of our primary and secondary audience:

Towards the end of November our first drafts were complete, so we first of all we needed to get feedback on these so we knew what needed to be improved before we submitted our final piece.
From this feedback we decided some small changes needed to be made.
Our biggest changes were with the white background scenes, after reading the feedback we realised they weren't in as good quality as the others and they looked dull compared to the vibrant lights we had everywhere else. So we made a change and edited our individual colours onto the background instead:
Through our feedback we also found that people didn't agree that Taine (boy in first images) fit with our genre. However we needed this footage to complete the narrative so unfortunately we couldn't edit it out, if we were to film these scenes again we would consider using boys that fit with the genre more.
We also got feedback on our first draft of our digipak:
We knew this needed a lot of work before it would be ready. We still had one image to complete and a lot of text needed to be added. From the feedback we decided to tak out two of the sillouete images to enable clearr picture of the band to created. This feedback was also what inspired us to do another photo shoot as the images we had were all very similar.
We also decided we needed to create synergy between this and the website so we included the band logo of the lips which appears on the website, used the same text and continued using the colour purple.
This was our final digipak:
We also created a survey that we sent out to people in years seven and eight (ages 11-13) this was to see what our target audience thought about our music video, website and digipak and what they didn't like about it. Sohies mum also shared it on her facebook account asking her friends to answer it, this meant we could gain a wider variety of responses.
We then put all our results into a presentation to make it easier to view them:
For our feedback on our final music video we first designed a questionnaire to give to a year 10 class as most of them will be within our target audience age range .
We send out surveys to vairous tutor groups to ask them to watch our video and then fill out the survey, we took into consideration that this would be difficult as tutor is only a short period of time, however we were successful and grateful for the amount of results we received.

Below is one of our most positive responses about the music video:
We then put all the answers into a results table using a tally. The image below shows the results, you can see that the majority of eople rated our erformane 3-4, our costumes 2-3-4 and, the locations 3-4. his gave us an average rating of 3-4.
We then did exactly the same things for groups of years 9's so we had a slightly older age range:
We got a focus group together of both boys and girls of our target audience age, they watched our video, gave some feedback and then looked at our website and social media accounts.
:
Overall we found that our target audience found our music video enjoyable to watch. They liked the colours and themes we used throughout all our products and knew that they all linked together nicely.
